The BIM area at Promet arose in response to internal needs on a company level in terms of project development both for our Services area and Industrial Construction and Assembly area, as our clients increasingly require BIM methodology as a management tool for current and future projects.
In an increasingly competitive market, our highly qualified team of professionals aims to utilize technology in order to develop our projects with certainty while meeting proposed requirements in a timely manner.
To this end, we have successfully implemented BIM methodology as the basis of development of our internal projects, ensuring that we meet the highest quality standards in each stage, and also allowing us to provide BIM services to our partners along the way.
We offer services focused in two areas, both for PROMET Industrial Construction & Assembly (Promet Montajes), and PROMET Services. Both areas are being included as internal clients and for use with external clients, who are primarily in the mining and energy sectors. This range of uses allows us to follow the BIM process across all levels of implementation.
The design for each discipline is done in a comprehensive and coordinated manner for each stage of conceptual design, preliminary design, basic anddetailed engineering, construction coordination, construction, assembly, As-Built design, commissioning, management and asset maintenance.
Obtaining information via laser scanner and drone topography for the generation of site models.
Capture of data, information processing and generation of As-Built models for the management and maintenance of assets.
Consolidation of federated and integrated BIM models following client requirements/project type. Hard and soft interference checks.
Development and follow-up for projects starting from optimized models for this stage. Incorporation of AWP methodology for work in packages.
Cost estimation, quantity of materials and precise operating costs in order to to reduce waste and optimize purchases by acquisitions according to the project’s actual progress.
The incorporation of equipment and cranes is considered during the BIM development stages, helping to improve the constructibility of rigging, sequencingand other services.
Using AR/VR allows us to “live” the work at a much earlier stage in the process by utilizing immersive visualization technology both during the design and construction processes. We’re able to anticipate possible problems and correct them in advance, rather than taking corrective action later.
We’re using state-of-the-art equipment and technology in order to carry out tasks efficiently. (Laser scanner, drones, 360 cameras, AR/VR equipment, etc.)
To that end, we’re using applications from different software as per client requirements and by project type:
Our team of professionals is of the most importance throughout this process. Their vast experience and commitment to successful project implementation enables us to take a position as leaders in the market of modular construction and industrial assembly.
Through the incorporation of BIM, we’re able to manage innovation and the distinct needs of each area across the company.
